BINSTED PARISH COUNCIL

There is plenty going on locally! There is big change ahead as Hampshire County Council has been accepted in the government’s fast-track devolution programme, to create a combined authority covering Hampshire and the Solent, overseen by an elected mayor. Our parish council’s Local Plan Working Group is being kept busy as East Hampshire and South Downs National Park continue to prepare their new Local Plans.  Our Transport Working Group is continuing to press HCC for road safety improvements. We are working with the Hampshire Constabulary to discourage speeding and address rural crime. And work continues to improve our three parish council sites (Binsted Recreation Ground, Blacknest Fields and Holt Pound Oval) and our local Rights of Way.

BINSTED PARISH

We are looking forward to Binsted’s 2025 Annual Parish Meeting on 29 April, to share our news and for a talk by local historian Roy Waight. Don’t miss it!

We are fortunate to have a team of 8 councillors and many active non-councillor volunteers, but Binsted is a very big rural parish and we always welcome extra help. Do get in touch if you feel able to give some time to help as a non-councillor volunteer, or to join us as a councillor (we currently have one vacancy).  Contact Parish Clerk Mike Mordecai at clerk@binstedparishcouncil.org.uk or call on 07483 310631.

Poster showing date April 29th 2025 and time 7pm for the Annual Parish meeting
