Rowledge Cricket Club & Binsted Cricket Club and both play at the Binsted Recreation Ground. The cricket season normally starts in mid-April and continues until 2 nd week in September. Both clubs place great focus on youth cricket and coaching; RCC and BCC also run adult teams, in which ladies are very welcome. Members of both clubs can make an online booking to use the Cricket Nets at Binsted. Nets users must observe all associated terms and conditions, including those in operation because of Covid.
Binsted Cricket Club does not have a website. Email contact: jadineen@yahoo.co.uk. The club has a membership of approximately 90-100 (club players, junior members and social members). It meets each Friday evening for youth training, which is usually followed by a BBQ and drinks. Its matches are played on Sunday afternoons. Nets are on Wednesday/Thursday evenings, depending on demand.
Rowledge Cricket Club. RCC has around 600 members and uses several cricket pitches in the local area. Full contact details, plus details of its teams and fixtures are on its website. In brief, RCC has 5 senior teams (1 st , 2 nd, 3rds, Casuals & Ladies) and 11 youth teams from U9 – U19 (some have more than one team). RCC has over 150 girl players, across all ages, and is always looking for new additions. It uses Binsted as its 2nd ground, to help it fulfil its commitment to playing youth & Senior/ladies cricket.
